Welcoming Marcel Janssen as Sueños New Executive Director

We are thrilled to announce a new chapter in the story of Sueños! Marcel Janssen has joined our team as the Executive Director, bringing fresh energy, experience, and a shared commitment to our mission of providing safe, empowering, and educational spaces for children and families in Antigua, Guatemala.

Marcel has worked for over thirty years in Central America, with nearly half of that time in Guatemala. Throughout his career, he has led a variety of projects focused on children and youth as their main program participants. His core responsibilities have included strategic program leadership, impact-driven programming, capacity building, and team development, experience that aligns deeply with the values and vision of Sueños.
Change can bring questions, and we want to assure our community and supporters that this transition is a positive and thoughtful step forward. We are implementing a tailored transition plan to ensure a smooth process and to maintain the continuity of our programs and relationships. Katie will continue to support Sueños as part of the Board of Directors, helping guide this next stage of growth with her ongoing dedication and insight.
